When I first got into cars I thought the E34 BMW was ugly, now my mind has been changed and I lust after an E34 M5.

Yes

Although personally, I could go for a 6 speed 540i, but with an M5 diff. the only reason the M5 can outrun a 6 speed 540i is because BMW gave the V8s highway gears, according to E34 forums.

I mean, I’d be happy with an e34 540i, but I think I’d prefer the M5, I might have to start looking for one, but I think I need to find a job first.

Best era of design in modern times imo. Cars designed in the late 80s VERY early 90s look great. FD Rx8, MKIV Supra, this car, E36, 300ZX, the very aerodynamic 90s Camaro. The only cars I can think of that look bad from then are shitbox econocars. Even then some of them like the hatchback civics look good are far better than their today’s equivalent.

Late 90s design to today is IMO shit. By cars designed int he late 90s i’m talking mostly cars that came out around 2000. Like the 350z. Then now we have cars with crazy sharp angles. Hatchbacks that are egg shaped. Ridiculously high beltline. Etc.

I mean I love the v8 in my M3. That sound from a straight 6 BMW M engine is something I’d like to have in my life.

Do it. It was an amazing show, and the people were even better. Just for the people you will meet, it is worth going. I’m not even a BMW owner, and it has me considering joining the CCA for some of the perks.
